The cultural identity of the Europeans is multiple, complex, contradictory – and yet, as recognizable as the red thread that runs throughout our history. Giorgio Strehler
The Odéon-Théâtre de l’Europe has played a leading role in the fight for a certain ideal of European culture. An ideal which is still largely inspired by values inherited from the Enlightment, but needs today to be rethought and reinvented in the light of the present. These efforts form an important part of our activities.
The Odéon’s international activities:
Not only does the Odéon present many foreign production in its two venues. At the European level, it also acts as partner and coproducer of several projects.
